They call the lack of a policy “dismay”
There can be no doubt just what will not be done.
How the photo ops evolve we cannot say
Any more than pointing out who has the gun.
Produced are speeches, the words and cadence play
Around challenge and change, they no longer stun.
The wonder beheld in coming to power:
How poorly it’s used and ebbs by the hour.

Building Up Dollars Turns Out To Be Hollers: A Bozo Ottava Rima Song
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009GMAC Attack!
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009Well, there goes the CEO, but the troubles remain at GMAC, the financing arm of General Motors.
Now circling the wagons for its third government bailout, GMAC is in the curious position of needing government money to finance car purchases by Americans from a company that is financed by government money.
General Motors, of course, is still losing money, but confidently announced this week that it is now able to use some of its government loans to pay back the government!!!

The Fed Passes The Cash
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009What a surprise!
Taxpayers weren’t served very well by the Fed during the AIG bailout, according to the special inspector general.
Haircuts just couldn’t be taken, that would have meant disaster, so several hundred billion were cobbled together and handed over to AIG’s counterparties. So Goldman Sachs got richer, the Fed became a structured investment vehicle of the US Treasury, and Wall Street got a flashing green light on all future moral hazard.
And of course these are the same folks doing such a bang-up job with the economy today!

Saying Nothing Much About Everything
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009It’s difficult to understand what purpose is served by these essentially empty gatherings.
The US and China know full well each other’s views on the big bilateral and international issues, none of these issues are currently susceptible to a breakthrough, and there’s nearly as much interest in doing nothing (climate change, dollar decline) as in doing something (climate change, yuan appreciation).
Gorilla thinks: “The appeal of congee and the appeal of congress make it easier to stay thick and happy in movingforwardville!”
