Michigan and Arizona this time!
Here’s the wisdom from Gorilla:
Michigan: If Santorum wins, there’ll be another 2 weeks of fretting by Beltway Know Nothings. If Romney wins, it’s over. Either way, neither clown will win the state in the fall.
Arizona: Easy win for Romney, plenty of Mormons in a state with Know Nothings who are more racist than theocratic. Certainly a tossup this fall.
Gorilla says: “Two pathological liars equals one sweet victory this November!”
The governor of Arizona (but you could insert Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Alabama, Georgia, Virginia, and New Jersey in this space) is a racist and a liar!
Gorilla says: “I’m neither shocked nor appalled by reading the truth about these horrible Know Nothing clowns for the umpeenth time!”
But quite able to buy a gun…
Gorilla says: “Hope the people of Arizona, if they ever do think about it, might lose a bit of sleep tonight!”
Why stop at racism and bigotry when you can give misogyny a go as well?
And that’s precisely what’s being done in Arizona by a new law that bans abortions based on racial or gender selection.
The hatred Know Nothings feel for everyone in America who isn’t rich, white, male, and old is breathtaking.
Gorilla says: “Stay away from Arizona, it’s an evil, despicable place!”
This time, it’s a proposal to eliminate birthright citizenship!
And who’s backing this latest unconstitutional foray? As usual, the local racist Know Nothing Party!
Gorilla says: “Which brave legislator will introduce a bill to give Arizona back to the Indians and get these white immigrant racists the hell out of Tombstone?”
Of course, it would have been nice if the Arizona shooter had been able to get good mental health treatment.
And the Virginia Tech shooter actually got mental health treatment.
But the only thing both had in common was their ability to buy guns easily, without background checks and without mental health assessments.
And it’s not about demonizing, amoral politicians like Palin, although it would be nice if just once our media characterized the former half-term governnor as amoral and demonizing.
Thanks to the current Supreme Court, the chances of serious gun control being passed in this country are zero.
So the killing will continue, even if it’s a Supreme Court justice on the receiving end of unfriendly fire!
And it’s a national disgrace: 100,000 Americans are killed or wounded by guns every year.
Gorilla says: “Our internal 9/11 remains entirely acceptable, from sea to shining sea of blood!”
Rather than trying to become a victim, like some worthless, amoral former half term governor, our President showed once again that real leadership can provide both compassion and unity.
Thankfully, we Americans decided to elect a real leader in 2008.
Gorilla says: “Civility is important, but ignoring evil is a disaster.”
The Governor of Arizona, who thinks severely ill patients should be denied transplants in order to save money and who promulgated one of the most racist anti-immigrant laws in the nation, is trying to restore the state’s reputation!
Yes, it’s the same state that refused for years to recognize a federal holiday honoring Martin Luther King, the same state that gave rise to the paranoid ravings of Barry Goldwater, the same state that bans ethnic studies (but only for Mexican-Americans) in schools, the same state that allows concealed weapons to be carried into bars and restaurants, and the same state that sees no problem in selling automatic weapons to mentally deranged citizens.
Gorilla says: “We could give Arizona back to the Indians or Mexico, but alas they realize what a waste of space it is!”
Biden in Afghanistan, Clinton in Yemen, it’s all such a surprise!
Gorilla says: “Mainly because there’s no security at all and these places are full of totally unstable nutjobs, like Arizona!”
First thing a principle does is kill someone,
A 911 9 year old who sought to lead,
But lacked firepower, or choice words that would shun
All those who proclaim from conservative screed
To suggest our government demands a gun
To play up our fears, or deny those in need.
We came to this hate and they say we abhor
But election’s next year, and killing’s their core.
