Mitt Romney: A Disgusting, Disgraceful Liar

Wednesday, September 12th, 2012

The US consulate was attacked and our Ambassador was killed by, as usual, a group of religious thugs whose barbarity demonstrates conclusively that no religion can ever be trusted.

So what does Mitt Romney say about this?

“It’s disgraceful that the Obama administration’s first response was not to condemn the attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks.”

In fact, Mitt Romney, as usual, is lying.

Mitt Romney, a liar, is unfit to hold any elected office.

Using the death of an Ambassador, who represents all Americans, to buttress a cheap and disgraceful attack on our President, on of all days the anniversary of 9/11, demonstrates conclusively what an evil scumbag Mitt Romney is.

Gorilla says: “Mitt Romney’s behavior should be unforgivable, he deserves nothing but the contempt of all Americans!”

Summing Up Gaddafi

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

Under Bush: cut a deal for the oil and pay off the Lockerbiens!

Under Obama: kill him!

Proving yet again that national security is like economics: one party leads, the other party will sell arms to the Iranians, not capture terrorists, and invade countries on the basis of lies!

Gorilla says: “Let’s move on, but please, let’s also remember!”

Over At Last

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

Of course, it’s great to see Gaddafi and other long-time dictators finished, but we have no idea what’s coming, hopefully it can’t be any worse…

Gorilla says: “Hooray for the Libyans today, but be wary about tomorrow!”

The End In Libya

Sunday, August 21st, 2011

Was it all worthwhile?

Yes, if you’re an oil company executive or the President of the United States.

Yes, if you’re on the winning side.

Yes, if you’re NATO and trying to be relevant.

No, if you’re Gorilla, who thought this was the biggest mistake of Obama’s Presidency.

But Gorilla is magnanimous and will admit he was wrong.

He doesn’t really know what will happen in Libya, whether it becomes another civil war or a shining democracy.

The truth he thinks is somewhere in between, perhaps not as bad as the coming civil war in Iraq, perhaps not as bad as the coming civil war in Syria.

What it still comes down to is oil. It’s the only reason we treat the Middle East slightly better than we treat Africa.

We need it, they’ve got it, and that’s that.

Gorilla says: “Happy to be wrong on this occasion, but not sure whether those who are right will enjoy their victory!”

Who Are These Guys?

Friday, July 29th, 2011

Clearly, we have no idea, Western policy currently is: Gaddafi bad, everyone else less bad, let’s make a deal!

And so another pointless and stupid war continues…

Gorilla says: “A fatah younis worse than death!”

Only A Few Short Weeks/Months/Years To Go!

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

In Libya, where it’s only clear that sooner or later the US will have to intervene…

NATO simply doesn’t have the firepower to beat a very small army.

As in Iraq and Afghanistan, there appears to be neither the will to invade nor a coherent exit strategy.

Everyone’s waiting for Gaddafi to voluntarily go away, and no one has a compelling scenario as to what comes next.

Gorilla says: “Could have figured this out 5 months ago, and stayed out, but Sarko needed a boost!”

Against It, For It

Friday, June 24th, 2011

The House of Representatives, currently run by complete idiots, has decided to vote against President Obama’s war in Libya, but…

They won’t vote to defund said war!!!

And what’s the point of all this? To prove the Know Nothing Party will never vote for anything this President proposes.

And what’s the point of trying to negotiate with these dolts?

Gorilla answers: “No point at all, start a jobs program with the unspent TARP and homeowners’ assistance money, dare them to vote against it, and run, run, run on it in 2012!”

The Libyan Logic

Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011

We must stop hostilities so as to get humanitarian aid in so that we can save the civilians both sides are bombing because a dictator has lost legitimacy and we can’t beat a fifth-rate army without occupying the country which would not be our original intention.

Gorilla says: “And that’s the way it is…”

Killing Civilians: A Pentagon Feature

Tuesday, June 21st, 2011

Certainly, it’s not a bug, just one of those tragic things that always happens so long as the civilians live under an evil, genocidal dictator, so long as that dictator isn’t from Syria, Bahrain, or Iran!

And the civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan can’t wait to see the back of us!!!

Gorilla says: “No, it doesn’t make any sense to me, either!”

Takes One To Know One

Friday, June 10th, 2011

NATO: a dismal failure, says the Secretary of Defense currently losing 3 wars!!!

And he’s right, the Europeans simply don’t have the military capacity to win in Libya without boots on the ground.

Of course, that’s the conclusion the Administration should have reached before embarking on the stupidest military operation since Iraq.

NATO itself should have been abolished 20 years ago, it has no strategic mission now that the Cold War is over.

But the larger dismal failure is the Pentagon, with a budget greater than the rest of the world’s militaries combined and unable to win against a similar bunch of ragtag tribesman after 10 years in Afghanistan.

Gorilla says: “Time to break the war bonds!”
